We were meant to have a relaxing few days there at the end of our High Inca Trail trek 16 years ago but Argentinian Airlines went bankrupt as we were flying in from Lima. We tantalisingly stopped to refuel in Cartagena but weren’t allowed off the plane as there were no more flights back to the UK!
It was good to catch up with Hugh over Christmas – sorry we missed you.
