The catalogue of decisions needed to complete this journey seems so complex. Such a paradox; on the one hand being in control of your own boat seems such an icon of freedom ; on the other you are constantly constrained by weather, currents and sea conditions, local rules, interaction with local human populations and not least technical function of the boat.
